Some creative collaborations from the likes of Supreme and Jean Paul Gaultier, Pyer Moss, Cactus Plant Flea Market, and more highlight this week of sneaker releases.
The drops begin on Thursday when Supreme and Jean Paul Gaultier releases a four-pack of flower-covered Vans. On Friday, Nike delivers another OG colorway of the Zoom LeBron III and the "Missing Link" Air Max Susan to commemorate the release of Laika's new stop-motion animated movie, Missing Link. Pyer Moss' unique take on the Reebok Mobius releases the same day.
A majority of this week's drops take place this weekend including Nike's "On Air" collection, the "Mamba Mentality" Kyrie 5 and PG 3, and the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Air VaporMax 2019 dropping exclusively through Dover Street Market this Sunday. Early next week, Heron Preston helps to launch Nike's renovated "Nike By You" customization platform with the Air Max 720/95 hybrid model.

Supreme x Jean Paul Gaultier x Vans Collection

What You Need to Know: Supreme is releasing an extensive capsule collection this Thursday with French designer Jean Paul Gaultier. Along with various clothing and accessories, the collab will feature four pairs of Vans as well. Burgundy and tan-based colorways of the Era Pro and Chukka Pro sport black accents. The main detail on each sneaker is the colorful floral print covering the toe, side panels, and heel. Silver metal eyelets, black midsoles, and co-branded insoles complete this collaboration that is sure to sell out within a matter of minutes upon release.
Nike Zoom LeBron III 'Home'

What You Need to Know: Another OG colorway of the Nike Zoom LeBron III is making its return this week. This time, it is the "Home" colorway from 2005. The pair from LeBron James' early years as a Cleveland Cavalier sports a black leather upper, white panels on the toe box and wrapping the heel, and red detailing. The high-top sits atop a full-length Zoom Air unit. Signature branding like a lion's head on the tongue and old school "LJ23" logos complete the design.
Laika x Nike Air Max Susan 'Missing Link'

What You Need to Know: Stop-motion animation studio and long-time Nike collaborator Laika is celebrating the release of its latest feature film, Missing Link, with a special Air Max 1. Dubbed the Air Max Susan as a nod to the name the film's main character, Mr. Link, goes by in the film, this sneaker is crafted to resemble the protagonist. Plaid panels on the toe and heel resembles the furry creature's suit. Green fabric on each side panel represents his vest. White canvas sections represent his under shirt. Brown leather detailing on the tongue, top eyelets, and midsole add a premium quality to the collab. Cork insoles and gum outsoles complete the design.
Reebok by Pyer Moss Mobius Experiment 3

What You Need to Know: Kerby Jean-Raymond's label Pyer Moss is one of the best young brands in fashion today. As a part of its latest collection with Reebok, the brand has remixed another retro silhouette from the brand. The Mobius, a '90s basketball model, has been transformed with a black nubuck shroud, white leather overlays to create the shoe's wavy upper design, neoprene inner bootie, and heightened ankle collar. Additional details include an asymmetrical branded zipper, classic Reebok branding on the heel, a colorful tag hanging from a gold zipper pull, and "Reebok by Pyer Moss" written in yellow on the lateral ankle collar.
Nike Air Max 'On Air' Collection

What You Need to Know: Nike will finally be releasing its "On Air" collection of Air Max models this Saturday. The pack consists of six pairs to represent six different cities: New York, London, Paris, Seoul, Tokyo, and Shanghai. Each was designed by local designers from each city last March for a contest held in conjunction with Air Max Day 2018. The Air Max 1, Air Max 97, Air Max 98, and Air VaporMax Plus have all been remixed with unique interpretations.
Nike Kyrie 5 'Mamba Mentality'

What You Need to Know: Nike is celebrating Mamba Day 2019, the observance of the day Kobe Bryant played his final game in the NBA back in 2016, with a special colorway of the Kyrie 5. This particular pair is made to resemble the fan-favorite "Chaos" Kobe 5 from 2009. The pair mimics the colors of Batman's arch nemesis with a white mesh upper, red splatters on the heel and midsole, and purple and neon green accents. Red branding fusing Kobe and Kyrie's personal logos is stamped on the tongue. Each player's signature dons the left and right heel, respectively, as well.
Nike PG 3 'Mamba Mentality'

What You Need to Know: Kyrie Irving is not the only Nike signature athlete celebrating Mamba Day 2019. Nike is also releasing a special colorway of the PG 3 to help Paul George embrace his Mamba Mentality. A black upper is accented by gold and yellow detailing. A pattern covering the toe and side panels slightly resembles the graphic that covered the OG colorway of the Kobe 8. Two-toned laces, branded pull tabs on each tongue, and a metallic silver Swoosh on the midsole complete the celebratory design.
Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Air VaporMax 2019

What You Need to Know: Cactus Plant Flea Market is releasing its own collaboration on the Nike Air VaporMax 2019. The cult-favorite streetwear label has transformed the runner with an earth-toned upper, jagged stitching, Nike's iconic "Just Do It" slogan scralwed around each heel, and CPFM's signature happy face branding stamped in yellow on the heel. The pair's main detail is a crudely crafted teal Swoosh held in place by black threading on the side panel. Its VaporMax midsole fades from clear to red.
Heron Preston x Nike Air Max 720/95

What You Need to Know: Heron Preston's upcoming Nike collab fuses the new with the old to create the Air Max 720/95. The upper of the classic Air Max 95 has been placed atop the gigantic Air bubble from 2019's Air Max 720. The silhouette will help launch Nike's updated "Nike By You" customization platforms. It will be able to be tweaked with various colors, materials, branding hits, and more. Preston's model will be available to customize from April 15-April 22.
