Over the course of 2018, Nike has been dropping sporadic sets of the Air Max 97/Plus and Plus/97 hybrids in matching color schemes that have ranged from the more neutral to eye-catching highlighter stylings. Now, the pairing is back in a very wearable "Light Orewood Brown" colorway.
The 97/Plus takes the upper of the Air Max Plus and sits it atop the midsole tooling of the Air Max 97, while the Plus/97 reverses the equation by swapping out the usual Air Max 97 bottom with the Air unit linked to its '90s running counterpart. Each is given a cream-colored upper consisting of mesh and leather with the Plus/97 showcasing a slightly darker shade on its mud guard. Black is used as the secondary color with emerald filling in the Swoosh on each tongue to add a slight splash of color to the design.
Both the "Light Orewood Brown" Air Max 97/Plus and Plus/97 are scheduled to release on August 1 for $175 and $160, respectively.
