Nike appears to have taken inspiration from its extensive archive for an upcoming Air Force 1 Low release.
The new colorway may be a nod back to the "Rose Garden" Air Force 1 High that released in 2002 to celebrate Rasheed Wallace and the arena of his then-team—the Portland Trail Blazers. It had a black patent leather upper, red strap, red Swoosh, and rose embroidery on the lateral heel. This new colorway takes loose inspiration from the high-top with a matching color palette and identical rose graphic, but switches out the materials on the upper for black velvet in place of shiny patent leather. As an added touch, metallic gold dubraes that read "2018" are displayed on each shoe as well.
Look for the "Velvet Rose" Air Force 1 Low to hit Nike SNKRS and other select retailers on Saturday, Nov. 24 for $130.
