K-Swiss has joined forces with Foot Locker to release an exclusive collection of footwear celebrating the 35th anniversary of the cult classic 1984 comedy, Ghostbusters.
The collection will include the Classic 2000 and Si-18 International dressed in color schemes made to resemble the villains from the original film, Slimer and Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Each is designed by sneaker customizer Alexander-John.
Slimer's pair sports a translucent PVC upper with Ectoplasm Green accents, a pink inner tongue resembling the character's tongue, and a glow in the dark outsole. An illustration of Slimer dons each insole. For the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Alexander-John opted for a white leather upper, quilted toe box, red and blue detailing, a Stay Puft tongue tag, and translucent outsole. Each pair also dons special Ghostbusters 35th anniversary logos and comes packaged in boxes made to look like the ghost traps used in the movie.
Those attending the Ghostbusters Fan Fest at the Sony Pictures Studio Lot on June 8 will have the first chance at the K-Swiss x Ghostbusters collection before it arrives at Foot Locker locations and footlocker.com on June 13.
