If there is one thing Rip Hamilton is known for aside from his signature face mask, it is the crazy collection of Air Jordan PEs he wore during his playing days. The former NBA champion's PEs during his time with the Detroit Pistons are coveted by many, but Jordan Brand might finally be releasing a Hamilton PE to the public to celebrate another one of his career milestones—his 1999 NCAA Championship with the Uconn Huskies.
According to @zsneakerheadz, an Air Jordan 14 PE is slated to release later this year resembling the "Candy Cane" colorway worn by Hamilton during his 27-point performance to help the Huskies cut down the nets in 1999. While no images have surfaced just yet, the pair will reportedly be very similar to the recognizable color scheme of MJ's 14th signature with special branding added to signify its PE designation.
Expect the Air Jordan 14 Rip Hamilton PE to hit retailers on April 6 for $190.
