Boost technology (along with the help of Kanye West) has been credited for playing a major role in rejuvenating interest in Adidas over the past few years. To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the popular cushioning platform, the brand is releasing a commemorative "Five Years of Boost" pack.

Before Boost became a staple in lifestyle models, its original intention was to offer premier impact protection in top-tier running shoes. Let's not forget that the Ultra Boost was designed to actually run in. With that in mind, the collection includes three Boost-clad performance models: the Energy Boost OG, an updated version of the Energy Boost, and the Ultra Boost LTD. Each pair sports the Energy Boost's original black and yellow color scheme. The updated version of the Energy Boost includes features like a lighter cage, updated Torsion system, a re-tooled upper, a Stretchweb Continental outsole, and additional Boost cushioning in the midsole.

The entire "Five Years of Boost" pack will be available on Feb. 1 at adidas.com and other select Adidas retailers. Prices will be $150 (Energy Boost OG), $160 (Energy Boost), and $220 (Ultra Boost LTD).
