As interest in retro running sneakers continues to grow, Le Coq Sportif might have the best back catalog that very few American consumers know about. Thanks to limited distribution outside of Europe, the French athletic brand has very little visibility to potential Stateside customers outside of the Internet.

We're not here to announce that LCS will be available at every other U.S. sneaker boutique, sorry. But we were recently given a look at the brand's archives, courtesy of UK sneaker show Crepe City and collector Prince Jamal. The selection of sneakers, ranging from 1985-1995, were displayed at an event this past Thursday in conjunction with Crepe City's fifth anniversary.

Take a look at the sneakers and soak up some history. There's also a taste of what went down at the function.

A huge thanks goes to Crepe City's Morgan Weekes for providing the images. All photos by Vivian Frank.
