With China set to host this year's FIBA Basketball World Cup, Jordan Brand is cooking up a special Air Jordan 12 for the occasion.
The latest iteration keeps it fairly simple, sporting a predominately white tumbled leather upper that's paired with metallic gold accents on the eye stay and lateral side. Additional details include a red sock liner and Chinese characters featured on the heel tab.
According to zSneakerheadz, the "FIBA" Air Jordan 12 is slated to drop on Aug. 24 for $190. The FIBA tournament will tip off on Aug. 31 and will conclude with the medal games on Sept. 15. Also rumored to be dropping ahead of the tournament is the "FIBA" Air Jordan 4.
UPDATE (07/26): The best look at the upcoming "FIBA" Air Jordan 12 has surfaced courtesy of US_11. This pair is still on track to drop next month on Aug. 24, and there's also a "FIBA" Air Jordan 4 on the way in September.
UPDATE (07/31): Here's an official look at the "FIBA" Air Jordan 12. According to J23app, this special edition pair is now expected to release on Aug. 23, which is a day prior to its previously scheduled launch date.
