It turns out that the “Baklava” New Balance 990v6 collab wasn’t the only colorway that Action Bronson designed, as new iterations of the sneaker were teased by the Queens rapper himself on social media.
Earlier this week, Action Bronson previewed two more New Balance 990v6 collabs on Instagram. One of the pairs is dressed in a blue-based makeup, while the other donned a grey and yellow color scheme. Briefly pictured in the teaser images show the “Baklava 990v6” branding stamped on the tongues.
“This shoe combines the best of both worlds with sportiness and comfort in a midsize sedan. It’s highly inspired by pistachios, baklava, my life, the layers. There are lots of meanings,” Action Bronson said about his first “Baklava” New Balance 990v6 collab.
Release details for the two new Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 colorways have yet to be announced by the two entities, but the “Baklava” colorway will be released on March 17 exclusively at specializinginlife.com and globally on March 24 and at newbalance.com and at select New Balance stockists for $210.
UPDATE (06/21): Action Bronson has confirmed via Instagram that his much-anticipated “Lapis Lazuli” New Balance 990v6 collab will be released tomorrow, June 22, at specializinginlife.com for $210. A wider release of the shoe has yet to be announced by New Balance.
UPDATE (06/23): After releasing exclusively through Action Bronson's specializinginlife.com site yesterday, the multi-hyphenate's New Balance 990v6 "Lapis Lazuli" is confirmed for a global release on June 30 on newbalance.com.
