Nike brought a new experience to Portland today - a 26,000-square-foot, LEED Certified, museum-like Nike Brand Experience door, complete with impressive displays and a large selection of Nike product.
One of the especially eye-catching features is a 12-by-7-foot video wall that graces the mezzanine level, using a 1404 image mosaic to depict Bill Bowerman, the late track coaching legend and co-founder of Nike, Inc.
Nike Portland delivers an enhanced direct-to-consumer retail experience, offering formidable presentations of Nike's main brand categories including Sportswear, Jordan, Running, Basketball, Soccer and NIKEiD.
The grand opening festivities continue tomorrow with the release of the Doernbecher Freestyle VIII Collection, and a 4:00 p.m. appearance by Portland Trailblazers star LaMarcus Aldridge.
Stay tuned for more coverage of the Nike Portland opening.
