One of Stephon Marbury's partners who helped him get into the sneaker business says that the NBA star is off-base with his criticisms of Michael Jordan's sneaker business.

The New York Post spoke with Rodney Henry, who partnered with Marbury in 2006 to produce the $15 Starbury sneakers, about the costs of sneaker production in China. Henry claims that Marbury can't make a true performance shoe by using such cheap production.

"No, you cannot make a good, safe, high performance, technical shoe for five dollars,’’ Henry said. “Consumers want quality construction. A $15 shoe is going to hurt your feet. A good shoe with the proper construction is going to run you between $30 to $40."

While speaking out against Jordan, Marbury claimed that his Starbury shoes were made in the same factory as Air Jordans.

Marbury isn't the only NBA legend to recently call out Jordan in this light – last week Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had some words for him as well.
