February is going to be an even wilder month than usual for New Orleans, with both Mardi Gras and the NBA All-Star hitting the city in the coming weeks. To celebrate the energy in the city, Adidas has teamed up with top Louisiana boutique Sneaker Politics for a Gazelle Primeknit that sources elements of its design from the Big Easy.
The Sneaker Politics x Adidas Gazelle Primeknit has rainbow accents on the upper inspired by the Mardi Gras shades of purple for justice, green for faith, and gold for power. These colors, along with the gum sole, also tie to the king cake.
This collaboration, the first from Sneaker Politics and Adidas, will launch at its home store on Feb. 18 for $140. The shoes will be available at Sneaker Politics locations in New Orleans (226 Decatur St.), Baton Rouge (7566 Bluebonnet Blvd.), Lafayette (135 Arnould Blvd.), and online. In addition, a wider launch on March 4 will be available at the following Adidas Consortium retailers:
