Sneaker Politics selects a seedy inspiration for its latest collaboration, this quilted red pair of Reeboks.
The shoe's tonal red look is a reference to Storyville, the red light district of the shop's native New Orleans that was a hotbed of illict behavior from 1897 to 1917. The "Storyville" name comes from New Orleans city councilman Alderman Sidney Story, who wrote the guidelines establishing the district to keep prostitution under control.
More specifically, the shoe's reds represent the "classic interior design elements" found the in the area's brothels.
The Sneaker Politics x Reebok NPC UK "Storyville" releases on Saturday, May 21, at Sneaker Politics.
