Nike's latest cleat for highlight reel regular Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the most impressive designs yet in a season already filled with boundary-pushing customs. The plate on the Vapor Untouchable cleat is embedded with grass from Reginelli Way, a spot adjacent to the football field at New Orleans’ Isidore Newman School where Beckham Jr. played as a teen.

The grass was hand-cut by Isidore Newman's coach Nelson Stewart and brought to the Builder Lab at Nike's world headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.

"The Builder Lab focuses on creating quick turn product samples, including custom footwear that solves the needs of the world’s best athletes," explained Mike Yonker, Nike's VP of innovation.

In the above video telling the story of the project, Yonker says that the whole process of creating these special shoes took just under two hours.
