In stark contrast to that launch, NikeLab's quietly released two more pairs this week, neither of which have come close to selling out. Perhaps they were produced in bigger quantities, but either way, the difference between this rollout and the one last fall speaks to how much a back story can affect a shoe's reception.
It's also entirely possible that people have a sour taste in their mouths after seeing value on the white/red "McFly" pair dip so much following its release.
