Hanon is doing its next sneaker collaboration the only way it knows how–by honoring its Scottish heritage with a colorway inspired by a piece of Scottish lore.
The Reebok Ventilator project is called "Robert and the Spider," and references Robert the Bruce, the King of Scots, and his legendary encounter with a spider during the Wars of Independence. The story goes that Robert spotted the spider in a cave, got inspired by its web-spinning in the face of adversity, and used that inspiration help the Scots emerge victorious from the battle at Bannockburn in 1314.
The Hanon x Reebok Ventilator "Robert and the Spider" will release first at Hanon online this Saturday, April 19 for £109.
