Nike is making sure that college basketball star Breanna Stewart starts her pro career off in proper footwear, creating this KD 8 for her WNBA debut.
Stewart will wear the sneaker during her first regular season game on Sunday when the Seattle Storm visit the Los Angeles Sparks. The colorway is something of a dagger to Seattle sports fans who had to see Kevin Durant and their franchise leave only to have Durant's sneaker reconnected with those colors on this pair.
This KD 8 was created using NIKEiD, and has special embroidery on the heel and under the tongue that references Stewart.
