Playoff tension is in the air, as demonstrated by Jae Crowder and Robin Lopez during Game 4 of the series between the Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls earlier today.

Lopez lost his sneaker—the Adidas Dame 2—while making a play in the third quarter. Crowder, showing a little gamesmanship, retrieved the shoe and tossed it behind him, which Lopez couldn't just let slide. After grabbing Crowder, Lopez sneakily bent down to not only put his shoe back on, but to untie Crowder's all-black Nike Kyrie 2's in plain sight. The result of the exchange was a delay of game call on the Celtics, so Lopez somehow got the upper hand this time.

In 2014, NBA champion J.R. Smith was issued a warning and $50,000 fine for repeated sneaker untying incidents. Though Lopez's situation appears to be isolated, he still may receive a call from the league this week.
