As a sneaker, the "Baseball" Air Jordan 9 feels like a bit of a storytelling reach. As a baseball, cleat, the concept makes a little more sense.
For his second-straight All-Star appearance, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher and new Team Jordan athlete Kenley Jansen was gifted an exclusive pair of "Baseball" Air Jordan 9 cleats. The pair starts with the Barons-like black and white upper, but is personalized with 'KJ74' on the back of the tongue, number '74' embroidery on the heel and a contrasting red baseball glove stitch.
The "Baseball" Air Jordan 9 sneaker releases in two colorways this Saturday at select Jordan locations.
