After months of personal lobbying, it came as no surprise when Carmelo Anthony was traded from the Denver Nuggets to the New York Knicks back in February. The move allowed the Brooklyn native to fulfill a lifelong dream of returning home to play in front of the Garden faithful.

The Jordan Brand has embraced the trade in a big way, as Anthony's move to a major market gives them endless publicity opportunities. We've seen Jordan go all out with new Melo t-shirt and billboards, but his footwear has pretty much been leftovers from his days in Denver. That changes this Friday when Melo is set to debut the Future Sole Melo M7 against the Pistons.

Designed by 15-year old Allen Largin, the Future Sole Melo M7 is seen here in a Team Orange/White-Midnight Navy colorway with several touches of personalization for Melo. Melo's logo pops up on the heel of the shoe, while Future appears on the tongue in white. The in-step of the shoe features the name 'Chelle, a tribute to Melo's sister who passed away back in December.

In addition to Anthony wearing them against the Pistons, members of his alma mater Syracuse Orange will rock the kicks in their opening round NCAA Tournament game. A release is set for sometime this summer at House of Hoops locations.
