Last summer, Elaine Thompson dominated the 100 and 200-meter sprints at the Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics, becoming the first female sprinter (and the first Jamaican ever) to take home both gold medals since 1988. In celebration of her accomplishments, Nike is releasing a collection exclusively for women.
Made to empower and inspire other female athletes, the Nike "Beautiful x Powerful" Collection consists of four sneakers—the Air Max Jewell, Air Max Thea, Cortez and the Blazer Low. Each sneaker features a perforated premium leather upper in a Summit White colorway. Metallic Gold accents are used throughout each silhouette. While the collection highlights Thompson's gold medals, the Blazer Low features offers a classic basketball silhouette and turns it into a lifestyle sneaker.
The Nike "Beautiful x Powerful" Collection is scheduled to release on June 1 via Nike SNKRS.
