adidas Originals and Foot Locker have combined to drop two new colourways of the freshly-reworked L.A. Trainer III S, a striking and versatile silhouette that's built for you and your squad.
The L.A. Trainer III S is a model that’s always been ready for whatever is thrown its way. It's a shoe that can be donned whenever, wherever – for street kick-abouts with your crew or just vibing with your friends at home. Its versatility is why the OG model is renowned as a certified 80s classic after making its mark on the streets of Milan, Rome, Paris and London.
Now, adidas Originals and Foot Locker have teamed up with consumers and Foot Locker stripers to bring the model into the future with a wavy look for the next generation. The remastered model features a supercharged design complete with subtle, yet premium, detailing. Two-tone laces, reflective 3D prints, welded stripes and debossed segments have been put in to enhance the trainer’s aesthetic. The OG's iconic grippy outer sole and signature three heel plugs are also brought back, and now complemented with a new lightweight tech upper and softer midsole.
As part of the launch, adidas Originals and Foot Locker linked up with the new wave of creatives in London, Paris and Milan to showcase the flexibility of the new silo and show why it is a street style essential for squads everywhere.
For London, adidas Originals teamed up with Jordon Wifi, the founding crew member of the music and art collective Last Night In Paris, to get an insight into what crew life is like in London. For Jordon, having a sneaker that is "up for whatever" is essential: "I always need a sneaker that is adaptable to any environment I’m in. I need to be able to rock it with jeans, tracksuits, whatever. Sneakers need to give you more, so being versatile is a valuable thing."
The L.A. Trainer III S stands for being “up for whatever” with your squad, and is more relevant than ever as squads across Europe set to step out into the streets again, following a time of global uncertainty. In this period, community and togetherness via Last Night In Paris has been essential for Jordon's creative output. "The collective is really important for our individual mentalities," Jordon said, "in a time where there’s a lot of instability, it’s important to come together – and when we do, we feel unstoppable. These days, having a team gives you the cement which helps you create – and having the competitive spirit we all have is essential to keep us going, and to inspire others."
The L.A. Trainer III S will be dropping in two new colourways; a white version with black and solar yellow detailing and a black edition with subtle solar red and solar yellow accents, arriving on September 10th, exclusively at Foot Locker.
