Puma has a special release planned for ComplexCon Chicago this weekend, a colorway of the Clyde Court to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Def Jam.

The official collaboration celebrates the iconic hip-hop label with a burgundy knit upper, tonal suede Formstrip, and gum bottoms. Details include official Def Jam logos stamped on each heel in gold, and "1984" printed on each heel pull tab as a nod to the year the record company was founded.

"Since hip-hop’s early b-boy days, Puma has been a staple in the culture—bringing freshness to the basketball court and style to the block party. We’re proud to celebrate Def Jam’s 35th anniversary in partnership with Puma," said Chairman and CEO of Def Jam Recordings, Paul Rosenberg, in an official press release.

This release will kick off a year-long partnership between both brands. Pairs will be pre-launched exclusively at ComplexCon Chicago on Sunday, July 21 in limited quantities. A wider launch at puma.com and other select retailers is currently slated for Aug. 28. Get a closer look at the Def Jam x Puma Clyde Court below.
