Yesterday, Travis Scott celebrated his 28th birthday in stellar fashion. He got a surprise cake from Jonah Hill earlier in the day and capped it off at a party that was "creative-directed" by girlfriend Kylie Jenner complete with custom Cactus Jack Fanta bottles, a Hennessey Slushie machine, and even an on-sight tattoo artist.
The focal point of the theme for Travis' birthday celebration was his upcoming, and incredibly hyped-up, Air Jordan 1 collaboration set to launch next weekend. Pairs were hung from the ceiling, as well as plastered on walls as a part of interesting art displays. La Flame's fans were even treated to a surprise of their own, as Trav's Air Jordan 1 collab and accompanying apparel collection received an impromptu launch on his online store. The cherry on top for Trav personally was also his upcoming sneaker, in the form of a giant cake.
Clips from the party show Scott's friends and family singing "Happy Birthday" to him as he stares in awe at an edible replica of his Air Jordan 1. The shoe is even placed on a platform resembling the brown and red packaging that the pair will come in. If that weren't enough, a character designed to look like his daughter Stormi can also been seen crawling up the laces.
For anyone patiently awaiting the upcoming drop, the cake is just another reminder of the inevitable "L" that many will receive trying to acquire one of the most highly-anticipated releases of 2019, so far. The Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1, complete with its fair share of Cactus Jack logos and a stash pocket, launches in non-edible at select retailers on Saturday, May 11 for $175.
