Michael Jordan is doing his part to spread some holiday cheer in a town he holds particularly close to his heart.

Today, His Airness stopped through Wilmington, North Carolina, an area that was severely damaged by Hurricane Florence in September. Having already donated $2 million to relief efforts, MJ spent the day handing out Thanksgiving meals and later stopped by the area's Boys & Girls Club, where he had a special treat for a handful of lucky kids. He hooked the kids up with Air Jordans, including one box which appears to be the anticipated "Concord" Jordan 11.

"I wanted to come back and see the city and see how things have progressed and see how things have been damaged. It’s a long road back, we know that," Jordan told The Associated Press. "That’s one of the reasons why I started the contributions. So I mean, it’s going to take some time, but I think the spirit of Wilmingtonians are really strong, and obviously I’m one of them. So I felt the need to come back and at least lend that support to them."

Sole Collector has reached out to the Wilmington Boys & Girls Club and will update with more details as they're made available.
