With Air Max Day on the horizon, Nike's prepped special releases for a number of the Air Max franchise's most popular silhouettes including the somewhat slept on BW. Between an upcoming release with Grime artist Skepta and the launch of the lightweight BW Ultra, the Air Max BW is poised for what could be its biggest retro run yet.
The Air Max BW's return to store shelves will be anchored by a retro of the O.G. "Persian" colorway. This black and violet-tinged make up is essentially the BW's version of "Infrared" or "Neon"—a unique color combination that helped to define the Air Max legacy. Here, it's back in its original form with a black synthetic suede and mesh upper, white details, and of course, "Persian Violet" accents.
The "Persian" Air Max BW returns for the first time since 2013 next week on March 8 following the launch of several Air Max BW Ultra colorways this Thursday.
