Hender Scheme has made an impression on the sneaker world with its vegetable-tanned leather designs that pay homage to already-famous silhouettes by other brands. With Jordan being one of the brands Hender Scheme has drawn inspiration from – or blatantly copied in the eyes of many – it was only a matter of time before the brand made a tanned-leather sneaker of its own. At a fraction of the Japanese brand's prices, Jordan will be releasing a tanned "Pinnacle" 1. Now, Jordan is taking the tanned leather theme to another level by featuring it on a performance sneaker, the CP3 IX.
Previewed on Instagram by Chris Paul, the sneakers are a premium vegetable-tanned leather fitted with leather laces. The neutral color of the leather is carried out through most of the entire shoe, with only part of the outsole being white. It's unclear if Jordan is trying to put Hender Scheme out of business or just trying to capitalize on a growing sneaker trend. Whatever the goal is, they're definitely on the right track.
According to CP3, these are coming soon so stay posted for release date information.
