It was just weeks ago that we covered a story of an Ohio teenager who tried to sell a $400 pair of Nikes, only to be dragged from a car by his would-be buyer. Now, we're learning of yet another recent incident of vehicular violence over sneakers.

19-year-old Travis Rhodes met up with a seller, only to grab the kicks and speed off with the victim still hanging from the window, CBS 6 Albany reports. The incident occurred in February, when Rhodes found the victim online and agreed to a transaction. For some reason, the two agreed to meet up at 3 a.m. (as if that's not already a glaring red flag) and the deal quickly went sour. Months later, police were finally able to track down Rhodes, who still had the stolen pair in his possession.

Look, we detest resellers as much as anyone, but we're in 2015, not 1995. It's time to put an end to this senseless sneaker violence already.
