This year, on March 26, Nike is going to celebrate Air Max Day for the second time in the holiday's existence. The date marks when the Air Max 1, the first sneaker with a visible Air unit, was released, and last year saw the brand release the O.G. white/red Air Max 1 with a bright-yellow sole for the occasion. This time around, though, seems to be a bigger celebration. Nike has already confirmed several of its original models will drop in the coming days, but they will have different details: mainly the uppers are made from other materials and velcro patches are able to be attached to the runners.

Something a little more exciting broke today: Berlin retailer Solebox put pictures of the white/red and white/blue Air Max 1s, both of the sneaker's O.G. colorways, on its e-commerce site. A few sneaker blogs got excited about this breaking news, and for good reason: Who doesn't love O.G. colorways of the Air Max 1?

1.

But there was something funny about the sneakers — they looked really small, and, to boot, there didn't appear to be any differences in the fabrics used on these Air Max 1s, either. Once the website translated from German to English, it also revealed the damning word, "children."

2.

That's usually not an issue. Most sneakers are released in men's and grade school sizes. But we wanted to be sure, so we reached out to Solebox co-founder Hikmet Sugoer, and he confirmed to us the bad news: These O.G. Air Max 1s would not be available in adult sizes, which means everyone would have to hold out onto next Air Max Day to see if Nike would be so kind to bless everyone with the sneakers they really, really want.

3.

For our small-footed readers, or those looking to pick up a pair for a younger relative or a significant other, both Air Max 1s will release on Solebox's website, this Thursday, March 26. The retail price is €95, or roughly $104. Three cheers for the current exchange rate.
