Every year, we think we have every Christmas Day sneaker covered and then someone throws a curveball by wearing an unannounced pair. Take Kyrie Irving, for example, who all along promoted the "Dream" colorway of the Nike Kyrie 1 as his likely Christmas shoe. Instead, Kyrie surprised us all with a previously unseen "South Beach"-leaning colorway.
Another player whose Christmas sneakers were influenced by the "South Beach" colorway was Paul Pierce, who wore a green and pink pair of the Nike Air Legacy 3. Considering we probably won't see a LeBron 12 "South Beach" colorway for obvious reasons, it was good to see the iconic colorway well represented on Christmas Day. Unfortunately for us, the Air Legacy 3 is currently only available in grade school sizes. However, Pierce is auctioning off the pair he wore yesterday for charity, in case you really wanted them.
Check out Paul Pierce's Nike Air Legacy 3 "Christmas" above and check in with Pierce's Twitter account to stay up to date on the auction information.
