Last week, quarterback Matt Barkley gave us a first look at the Nike Vapor Talon Elite cleats the USC Trojans will play in during the 2012 season. Now we take a look under the hood of the Hyperfuse-equipped shoe.

Versatility and responsiveness are just some of the premium performance elements in the Vapor Talon Elites. Designed to be worn by players across multiple positions, the cleats feature a lockdown fit that promotes speed and acceleration. The Elites are made of molded carbon fiber, which gives them a solid, seamless construction. The cleats have a shark tooth texture on the forefoot and heel meant to rip into the field for excellent grip.

The Trojans will test out their new cleats during their season opener tonight against Hawaii.
