Chris Rock has been pretty tight-lipped in recent weeks, but that might change sooner than later.

While performing at the Fantasy Springs Resort-Casino in California on Friday, Rock revealed when he’ll finally talk about getting slapped by Will Smith at the 2021 Oscars.

“I’m OK, I have a whole show and I’m not talking about that until I get paid. Life is good. I got my hearing back,” Rock joked, per Deadline. Since phones are prohibited at his shows, no known footage was taken from his set.

Just days after the slap seen ‘round the world, Rock briefly discussed the incident at a sold-out show in Boston. “How was your weekend?” he started. “I don’t have a bunch of shit about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I have a whole show I wrote before this weekend. I’m still kind of processing what happened. So, at some point I’ll talk about that shit. And it will be serious and funny.”

The comedian has also been serenaded with “fuck Will Smith” chants during a few shows. After initially choosing to ignore the chants, Rock later shut them down without getting into it any further.

Smith posted a written statement on social media the day after his Best Actor win and subsequent celebration, where he apologized to Rock. The comedian hasn’t addressed the apology, but his brother Tony already stated he personally didn’t accept it.

Since the incident, Smith has resigned from the Academy, which in turn banned him from attending the Oscars for 10 years.
