But what about that time Laura Benanti said she was sorry for parodying Melania Trump on Stephen Colbert's Late Show? I'm honestly having trouble remembering both of these apologies, perhaps because Baldwin and Benanti already got the following memo: Shit like that doesn't really require an apology.

That's Gigi Hadid, walking back her American Music Awards impression of Melania Trump by offering a handwritten apology. "I apologize to anyone that I offended and have only the best wishes for our country," Hadid wrote. In addition to being depressingly lame, Hadid's reversal also includes phrases like "no bad intent" and "respectfully."
