Though Mike Pence and similarly arrogant individuals may not care for such news, I come to you this morning with increasingly widespread word regarding Disney having entered the charity-benefiting mask market.

Pre-orders have been launched for masks featuring designs from Star Wars, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Frozen, Pixar, Marvel, and more. The masks are sold in four-pack sets for $19.99, with mid-July given as a possible shipping window.

"Disney is committed to serving the communities where we live and work," a company rep said of the big mask move. "During these challenging times, we're using the power of our timeless stories and beloved characters to address our guests' needs for family-friendly reusable cloth face masks."

Disney will donate one million cloth face masks to children and families in underserved communities across the US. All profits from the US sales of the newly launched Disney masks, meanwhile, will go toward Medshare up to $1 million through Sept. 30.

Masks have become a staple of the COVID-19 era, with a range of artists and companies joining the wave with branded versions of the protective measure. As revealed in the latest update to the Lyst Index, which again saw Off-White named the hottest brand in the world, Q1 2020 included a 496 percent surge for fashion face masks. The Off-White arrow face mask, notably, was also named the No. 1 men’s product of the quarter.
