In the interest of moviegoers around the world, no question about this month's Avengers: Endgame will ever result in an answer revealing anything of actual substance. That's just the way these things go. Still, that at least presents the unique challenge of filling up promo time with literally anything else in lieu of spoilers.

Real life superhero Stephen Colbert presented the maximized version of that approach with a segment on Wednesday's Late Show. "I'm not the only one who has questions out there," Colbert, who said he's "so excited" about Endgame's April 26 release, told his audience. "Everyone here at the Late Show wishes they could ask the cast just one question, so we assembled the cast of Avengers and we let my staff do just that."

From there, Late Show staffers gave a series of mostly jokey questions to stars including Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Brie Larson, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, and more. Catch that up top.

Thursday, Robert Downey Jr. joined Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige for a retrospective journey recalling the franchise's somewhat humble beginnings with The New York Times. Downey hilariously cited a "connection" he had with Iron Man director Jon Favreau that revolved around the timing of their respective flops. For Feige, it was what Favreau was able to do with his 2003 holiday classic Elf that had him excited about bringing the director aboard their then-experimental plans for domination.
