Adin Ross has argued that the claims made against himself, Drake, and Stake in a recently reported class action petition are “bullshit.”
In a clip taken from a recent stream, Ross told viewers there was “nothing to talk about,” instead urging them to read through the documents on their own.
“I will tell you guys this,” he added. “Read through the case yourself. It’s fucking bullshit.”
Later, he reiterated this stance.
“It’s bullshit,” he said. “It’s fucking bullshit.”
As previously reported, all three are named in court documents obtained by Complex, which see a Missouri man arguing that “Stake’s deceptive trade practices have inflicted severe harm on the vulnerable” in the state, particularly “individuals prone to gambling addiction and younger consumers.” The latter group, the petition alleges, are “targeted” through the platform’s “free play” marketing.
“To wit, when Ross and Drake purport to gamble online with [Stake], they often do not do so with their own money despite telling the public in Missouri and elsewhere the opposite,” the petition states. “This fact is not shared with the public in Missouri by Stake and/or Ross and/or Drake. These acts are deceptive, fraudulent, and unfair and violate Missouri law.”
Streamer xQc, though not named in the documents, has also spoken out about these allegations. On X, he said the potential lawsuit “will go nowhere,” arguing that it’s “just pandering to the public perception.” He also went so far as to argue that anyone “celebrating” this type of legal action is “misinformed.”
As of this writing, Drake does not appear to have directly addressed the controversy. In a statement to SiGMA News, a Stake representative denied the claims.
“We have not been served at this time,” a spokesperson was quoted as telling the outlet. “We reject allegations that have been made in the media in relation to this potential claim and will vigorously defend this and all such claims.”
