V.C. Andrews' 1979 novel Flowers in the Attic, a.k.a. one of the most fucked up books ever published, was remade into a movie for Lifetime tonight. And, as expected, viewers flipped a shit. Just take a look at the synopsis: After the death of their father, a brother and sister (played by Mason Dye and Kiernan Shipka) and their younger twin siblings are locked in the attic by their sadistic, evil grandmother (Ellen Burstyn), with no avail from their equally messed up mother (Heather Graham). As if the child abuse wasn't enough to throw you into a rage, the older siblings begin to touch each other in ways siblings aren't supposed to touch each other. OK. They. Have. Sex.
