It won't be long now until Boardwalk Empire returns for season three - September 16th! - and in honor of the the approaching premiere, HBO has finally released a full-length trailer to show us what we should expect from the coming episodes. As executive producer Terence Winter stated in an interview with the Huffington Post last February, the third season of the critically-acclaimed series will see the timeline moved up six months, and the first episode will take place on New Year's Eve, 1922:
Judging from the clip above, it doesn't look like the time jump is going to allow for any break in drama for the main characters.
