During a fundraiser in Beverly Hills on Saturday night, Mitt Romney brought up an issue with the LA Times what plagues many people on the planet each and every day: Why don't the windows in airplanes open?
Here's the set-up. Romney was discussing his wife's experience last week flying on a plane that was forced to make an emergency landing because of an electrical fire that caused the passenger cabin to fill with smoke. Dangerous and awful, yes, and Romney had a simple solution for it all.
Creating any sort of opening in a moving airplane is also a real problem as well, as it would force the air pressure to drop and create a severe lack of oxygen in the cabin. That would also fall under the category of "a real problem." But hey, cut Romney some slack for this gaffe - considering the guy is 85% probably a robot, he wouldn't know anything about the "oxygen" us mere peasants breathe. It's a cultural barrier.
