As anyone who regularly picks up a controller and plays Fortnite knows by now — The Simpsons have officially arrived in the hugely popular action game.
The crossover, which went live on November 1, brings a cartoonish overhaul to the fan-favorite title, featuring a cel-shaded Springfield map, new weapons, and character skins inspired by the show’s most iconic figures.
To further tie into the unexpected new collaboration, The Simpsons will be releasing a total of four new shorts on Disney+ this November. According to the streaming giant, the mini-episodes are meant to fill in the story behind how Springfield and its residents ended up inside the Fortnite universe.
The official breakdown for each episode includes the following list of releases:
- Episode 1: "Apocalypse D'Oh" — Nov. 1
- Episode 2: "Sugar High" — Nov. 10
- Episode 3: “Multiplidiocy” — Nov. 17
- Episode 4: "The Incredible Bulk" — Nov. 24
Each short’s release on Disney+ coincides with the Simpsons-centric season on Fortnite, which is set to conclude on November 29. There's no official description of what each short’s premise might be, although it's speculated that every episode will feature a new gameplay component for Fortnite, including new weapons and features.
Right now, players can interact with a wide array of recognizable people, places, and objects from The Simpsons' extensive lore. This includes iconic locations like the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, as well as the Simpsons' own residence on Evergreen Terrace.
Players can also put their skills to the test by battling three different bosses based on the show's characters. These include Krusty the Clown, Evil Homer, and Witch Marge — plus AI-powered robotic guards known as the Dober Men.
