Compared to most weeks, last week was relatively chill as far as movement goes. New York was incredible Wednesday night at Props, where we hosted Breakbeat Lou's "Diggin' Ex Suh Bish Uhn" Mix CD Release Party with myself, Akalepse, Breakbeat Lou, Kenny Dope, and Lord Finesse.
Friday, we brought that same good energy to Nova Bar in Brooklyn, followed by a few nights outside the DJ booth, ass-print deep in my couch to recharge and turn my battery up again.
Welcome to Week 39.

Way Back, Like Spinal Cords
WHERE: The Bronx
WHEN: Friday, March 30, 2012
Two of my oldest, most loved, and ugliest friends on the planet. Jack Boogi helped me manifest Footwork Illadelph and carried records to thousands of shows over the years. Set Free made AND1 a household brand name, turned Undrcrwn into a brand, runs Kid Robot with Chris Robinson, and produced "Delirium," the intro tune on my first LP, Connecting The Dots. Got friends?
BX to BK on the FDR
WHERE: East Side NYC
WHEN: Friday, March 30, 2012
Gridlock with a lens, 45 minutes to go nine miles. Only in New York.
Emily Rawson Snuck Into BK
WHERE: Nova Bar & Lounge, Brooklyn
WHEN: Friday, March 30, 2012
My manager doesn't ask me for much. Tonight he asked if I minded if Emily played for 30 minutes before my set. I said, Sure. She rocked shit too. Threw her in the fire and she didn't get burned. Hats off, madam. Here's to connecting in London. Cheers.
Brooklyn
WHERE: Nova Bar & Lounge, Brooklyn
WHEN: Friday, March 30, 2012
There's something about a small party in Brooklyn that has an edge you can't find anywhere else. Salute Nova Bar for allowing me to rock out with y'all for the last four months.
Do Not Eat Here
WHERE: Most airports
WHEN: Saturday, March 31, 2012
One hour after closing and that sandwich you turned down in the shrink wrap, it's still there waiting for the hurried sucker who'll settle for yesterday's shrink-wrapped garbage tomorrow. There's a reason why those sandwiches taste like old plastic fan…most likely cause the sandwich in question or fruit cup in question has been sitting on that rack for at least 24 hours, if not longer…pay attention, before you end up sick as a dog and unclear about why, when you're on the run.
