"Watch or Washed" is a new weekly column in which Complex Pop editors Nathan Reese (@NathanReese) and Frazier Tharpe (@The_SummerMan) highlight popular television shows that are either worth checking out or, sadly, totally washed. Here are this week's:

The Walking Dead
Verdict: Watch
When: Sundays at 9 p.m.
Where: AMC
Why: After giving it seemingly infinite second chances, I was finally ready to give up on The Walking Dead. Watching dopey morons yell at each other while staying in the same locations (farm, prison, etc etc) had become downright tiresome. But then the most unlikely thing happened: the writers figured out what people actually want. And what they want is zombies. And running. And running from zombies. And new places! And so five seasons in, beyond all expectations, the show is actually good again. Fingers crossed it stays that way. —Nathan Reese
Sons of Anarchy
Watch: Washed?
When: Tuesdays at 10 p.m.
Where: FX
Why: Sons of Anarchy is an interesting beast. The fanboys have followed the series through thick and thin, regardless of where showrunner Kurt Sutter wants to take it. But the final season has been especially tedious as the residents of Charming ride (ever so slowly) into the sunset. Then again, you've made it this far, so you might as well finish. Plus Happy is still around and he's awesome. —Nathan Reese
Homeland
Verdict: Washed
When: Sundays at 9 p.m.
Where: Showtime
Why: Homeland plays like a how-to seminar on running a successful show straight into the ground. You start by keeping a terrible character alive for way too long (Brody) and then make your hero so unlikable it is literally impossible to root for her (Carrie). By the time you've tried to amend your mistakes (kill Brody), you've bound yourself up in nonsense so utterly unbelievable that it's impossible to extricate yourself (drones). But you're already watching The Walking Dead at the same time, so whatever. —Nathan Reese
Supernatural
Verdict: Watch
When: Tuesdays at 9 p.m.
Where: The CW
Why: Whether you're a day one fan, still soldiering on through endless angel storylines and meta episodes, or you gave up on the show and The CW years ago, props must be paid: 200 episodes in the bag is no small feat. Check in to see if the milestone episode will finally shift this mediocre season into gear, or do your duty as a TV nerd and get a sense of just how in (absent) God's name this bromantic series about evil-hunting siblings is on its tenth season—with no signs of stopping. —Frazier Tharpe
Peaky Blinders
Verdict: Watch
When: Whenever
Where: Netflix
Why: Peaky Blinders is a BBC show that was quietly acquired by Netflix. But the fact that it hasn't picked up more steam by now is bordering on crazy. Now on its second season, the show counts Tom "Super Fun to Listen To" Hardy along with Cillian Murphy as Birmingham gangsters. (Peaky Blinders may sound sweet, but these blokes keep razor blades in their caps.) While it can be a bit uneven, the spectacular cast, exuberant violence, and constant British-isms make it worth catching up. —Nathan Reese
