I'm starting to feel like a broken record, but it's worth repeating that 2014 was one of the best years for comic books in the history of the medium. There was so much good work that there was simply no way I could catch it all.
That being the case, what follows here is more accurately 2014's 25 best comic books (that I was able to read). Lists are inherently subjective, so I went with my gut when picking favorites. While some fantastic books aren't here simply because I haven't gotten to them yet (i.e., Jason Latour's Southern Bastards and G. Willow Wilson's Ms. Marvel), I can assure you that I loved every one of comics discussed here.
Without further ado, these are The 25 Best Comics and Graphic Novels of 2014.
Please, do us all a favor, and leave your own favorites in the comments. Let's catch up together.
