We're not sure if the world of Darksiders actually needed fleshing out, but we're not ones to pass judgment—unlike Death himself, the protagonist of Darksiders 2. Speaking of Death, he'll star in the new prequel novel, Darksiders: The Abomination Vault, along with War, the protagonist from the first game.
The two apocalyptic horsemen will be tasked with halting a scheme to unleash "ancient weapons of unimaginable power" millenia before the events of the games. It's being penned by Ari Marmell, who's previously done a novel tie-in to Magic: The Gathering, among original works.
