New York, New York—is there a more recognizable city in the world? Maybe that's why developers choose over and over again to use it as a backdrop for their games.
And it's not just open-world games like Grand Theft Auto (which, actually, technically isn't set in New York, but we'll get to that later). Shooters, action games, RPGs, movie tie-ins, you name it, and there's at least one set in the best city in the world.
