This week I got to relax and catch up on a few business propositions. I took the time to sort out my taxes and answer emails that I’ve been neglecting since I’ve been traveling. I'm also in the planning stages for the next couple of months since the trade show season is just around the corner. I'm a little less stressed this week since we launched my microsite with DC Life, but the response has been stellar; I'm looking forward to the next couple of drops. See you guys next week!

Giant Helm

WHAT: Helm

WHERE: IP Offices, Montreal

WHEN: Monday (April 11)

The fun thing about visiting offices is that you always find the coolest things just lying around. I tried finding out the story behind this unbelievable helm but to no avail. I don’t think anyone even knows how it got there. The owners have had it for over 40 years and they believe it is over 100-years-old. Pretty awesome! I decided to use some boat shoes to give you some perspective. I wonder how much this is worth?

Penfield Pop-Up Shop: Off the Hook

WHAT: A Penfield Pop-Up Shop

WHERE: Off the Hook

WHEN: Tuesday (April 12)

The folks over at the Off the Hook have collaborated on another pop-up shop with Penfield. The space is pretty cool and gives you a great look at the entire Penfield story. Oh, they're also opening up the first of three Vans shops in shop concepts. Things are going to get really interesting for Montreal retail.

Mac Crew

WHAT: The next generation of blogger elites

WHERE: Montreal Airport

WHEN: Wednesday (April 13)

My lens was not wide enough to capture all eight of these kids on their Mac Books. They were probably plotting to take over the world. I wish my crew and I rolled like that back in the day; we probably would have came up with Twitter or something, ha!

Joshua Kissi

WHAT: Joshua Kissi Studio Session

WHERE: http://mystudiosession.marcustroy.com/, New York City

WHEN: Thursday (April 14)

Yesterday was the launch date of Joshua Kissi’s DC Life studio session. He really killed that outfit, with his military fashion inspiration. Seeing that he's one of the leading contemporary men's wear blogs, it was really cool to see him dressed up in kicks, pulling off that look so effortlessly.

In the Kitchen

WHAT: In the kitchen with the chefs

WHERE: Le Piment Rouge, Montreal

WHEN: Thursday (April 14)

Last night I was part of an elite group of food and lifestyle bloggers that attended the 30th anniversary of the iconic restaurant Le Piment Rouge. They gave us an intimate tour of the kitchen and allowed us to spend time with the chefs and taste some of their most famous dishes. All of the chefs are from China and are here in Montreal on a three-year visa. They wanted the food to be as authentic as possible. The newly renovated establishment and new menu should keep people extremely happy.
