Be the fastest player on the block.
Gamers can download the 900 Megabyte file to a USB drive now then plug it directly into your PlayStation 4 when your console arrives. Not only does the day-one update unlock most of the features of the PS4 but also enables online gameplay and you can never have that too fast.
Check out the step-by-step process courtesy of Sony. Basically head on over to the Sony site download the full update to your USB drive, as per the directions, and when your PS4 fires up for the first time in Safe Mode you can connect the USB and away you go. Thanks Sony! How very thoughtful.
