One of the most ambitious and hyped products of the Nintendo era finally gets a documentary to explain what the hell went wrong. The Power of Glove explores the creation and development of the infamous PowerGlove released in 1989 as a critical and commercial failure.
Undoubtedly one of the worst - and least functional - controllers of all time, The Power of Glove includes interviews with developers that explores what went wrong in the translation between the original creation of the optical sensors and development by Mattel into the product that was ultimately a compromise for the market.
The question we're obviously asking: will this make it cool to wear the PowerGlove in public again? Because we never stopped.
