Arya and Sansa Stark Might Be Plotting the Ultimate Revenge on 'Game of Thrones'

While some theorize the Stark sisters will have a violent confrontation soon, others think the two are actually in cahoots for a major revenge plot.

(If you're reading this, it's not too late: Game of Thrones spoilers are down below. Escape while you can.)

As Game of Thrones hurtles toward the finale of season 7, theories on the fate of Westeros are swarming nonstop. The most recent predictions focus on pretty much everyone, from Bran Stark and his possible secret identity, to Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen's potential future together (which could or could not be gross, up to you.)

One of the latest theories involves Arya and Sansa Stark. While the director of the most recent episode, Alan Taylor, alluded to a "violent" confrontation between the sisters, some Thrones fans aren't so easily convinced that they're against each other. Ideas have sprouted up on the Reddit page dedicated to GoT, and one user thinks Arya and Sansa are not fighting, but protecting each other and plotting to take out the devious slimeball Littlefinger. Redditor ScienceMuddafucka (fire screen name alert) provided a breakdown of why exactly it makes sense that the Stark sisters are in secret cahoots.

Foreshadowing: We have quotes from as far back as S6 suggesting that Arya will protect Sansa.
"No one can protect me." – Sansa, S6E9
"You need better guards." – Arya to Sansa, S7E4

Of course, this is yet another theory. If director Alan Taylor is to be believed, this is all irrelevant and one of the Stark sisters is possibly going to die at the hands of the other.

"I love the fact that these two come back, they're both lethal, and I just wanted to give the impression, as much as possible, that one of them is going to die, but you're not sure which one," Taylor told Huffington Post. "Arya is certainly lethal and sort of threatening, but when Sansa sends Brienne away, who is Arya's natural protector, something is coming very soon between them, and it will be violent but surprising."

At this point, all we can do is sit and wait this one out.
