A Rescued Squirrel is Now Living in This Guy’s Christmas Tree

He was rescued about a month ago.

Now that Christmas has passed, it’s time to take down those festive decorations and usher in the new year. However, this is a difficult task for one Reddit user who says there’s a mentally challenged squirrel living in his Christmas tree.

A pic of the furry creature was uploaded with the caption, "There is STILL a squirrel living in my Christmas tree." Judging from a previous post on initially finding the little guy, he’s been hiding out in the tree for about a month. User carefree_dude shared his story in a post on the popular website:

"About a week ago, my wife found this squirrel at the side of the road twitching. He likely got hit by a car, and suffered major head trauma. She took him home. He couldn't eat, drink, walk, or really do anything. We were eventually able to get him to drink via a syringe. We reached out to a wildlife rehabilitater, who gave us some medicine to give him to help with the head trauma.

According to the Daily Dot, this isn’t the first sign of non-human life in the Reddit user’s home. He says his family also has a dog, four cats, fish, 14 chickens and a turtle.
